Halfway back from Jamestown

June 15th, 2006

So… went out to Jamestown for a week of relaxation, BBQs, music, and seeing old friends. Missed seeing some of my friends, but did get to see most of my main cats… including a surprise run by Taylor up to Jamestown. My first night, I spent in Buffalo, which was great. Steve and Erinn were super nice and this guy Charlie had a sweet Bianchi Pista that he let me ride. It was neato. Buffalo is bike central. Also saw Sean and Steve-O, which was cool, played some foosball, etc.

Then I could go into what happened in Jamestown, but it was rather intense and relaxing all at the same time. Let’s just put it this way, that people know how to have a good time. The Stock Market Crash played mojo’s with the Audience. That was pretty fantastic. Marc broke his hand prior to the show which actually made it better. Hand splints look cool, I guess… didn’t Michael Jackson have one for a while..?

Then today, rolled up to Buffalo, expecting to have a flight back to LA and land there tonight. But instead, I’m in Minneapolis / St. Paul… delayed flight out of Buffalo. So yeah, the mall of america closes at 9. Maybe 9:30. That totally weakens the mall of america concept for me. I’m thinking it needs to stay open to 11 at least, with a special segment that stays open until 2AM. Am I wrong?

So yeah… My friends suggested that I trash the room on NWA, but they took my credit card when I came in, so instead I’m watching foodtv instead of pay per view and generally keeping the room in shape. Managed to get a little bit of work done, which isn’t bad considering one of my friend’s in Jamestown is a brewer for a living and another a bartender. Gulp.
