It’s not easy.
Heh. Right. New Song Alert! We recorded the tunage live a week or two ago then I cloistered myself away yesterday and put down some vox. My voice gets a bit weird Al at the beginning. In a new twist I’ll put the lyrics up right now cause they have stuck in my head after singing it for hours and hours yesterday.
First, here is the mix of the song Factual.
Lyrics after the break.
[beedoop]
I have tried not to think without thinking
I attempt not to drink when my herb’s all gone
I’ve had five years with this full diagnosis
I don’t ask why the song spins on.
Mania and soulache they both tear me to this day
strung out at the beach watching the grey tide break away
I truly want to love this country we live in
but it gets harder for me every day
Mass confusion leads me into my own paranoid delusion
let’s pretend we don’t care either way
Off this phone I could say much more
but they keep tapping in.
If you give it time surely some good old boy or girl will win.
**why god why section**
Somewhere over the rainbow ghost hueys fly
if you look close at the sunset you’ll see the blades cutting the sky
** **
Looking at a list of things that I wish I’d done
at the top, you stand number one
I can’t ask forgiveness in advance
when I spend all my time in the sun
12 1234
They hold our dreams in hock
We wait for our chance to talk
Staring up at the clock
we realize that they own that too
TV shows the drop
Missles cruise and stop
my whole idea will flop
but I do not give up
[/boodeep]
You shouldn’t give up neither ya heard.

Sweet — looking forward to the second mix. Raise the vocals man, you can sing.
“Where did you learn to do this stuff?”
“I learned it from watching you T! … I … learned it from watching you…”
weeps.
word. I’ll turn up the vox when I’m super pleased with them, like I flubbed up the lyrics all over on that one, but I kept it cause it had an ok vibe. Also the compression is weird on the mix, like right at the beginning it tries to be loud but then quiets down as the compression kicks in and never lets up.
So it turns out I don’t have access to a DAT machine out here… I can probably scheme one somehow, though.
The Active Artist Alliance looks sweet. Mychal kills it. I don’t think I ever really knew him that well back in J-town.
